2025 World Series Odds: Dodgers Favored; Mariners, Blues Jays Chasing

The countdown is on to the 2025 MLB Fall Classic.

The Dodgers blew past the Yankees in the 2024 World Series, winning 4-1 to earn their second title in the past five years.

Here is what to know about the World Series oddsboard:

The Champion Dodgers: L.A. suffered its first playoff loss in Game 3 of the divisional round, but bounced back with a walk-off win in extra innings in Game 4. Now, the Dodgers are on their way to the NLCS for the fourth time in six years. Last year, they defeated the Mets in six games to win the NL pennant. The last time a team won consecutive World Series, New York won three in a row from 1998 to 2000. Prior to that, the Blue Jays repeated in 1993 after winning it all in 1992.

The Challengers: Next on the board are the Mariners, who dispatched the Tigers in five games, with Game 5 going to 15 innings. It will be Seattle's first trip to the ALCS since it went in back-to-back years in 2000 and 2001. The franchise has never made it to the World Series. Just behind the Mariners are the Blue Jays, who won their divisional matchup with the Yankees in four games. It was Toronto's bats that did the talking, as the Jays outscored New York 34-19 over the course of the series. The two sides faced off six times in the regular season, with the Jay winning four. Their ALCS series begins Sunday in Toronto.
