Amazon axing its invitee program.

If you have an “invitee” on your Amazon Prime account who lives at another address, it’s time for that person to get their own Amazon Prime membership. They are eliminating the “invitee” program entirely on October 1. However, it appears, Prime members can still ship to friends and family with free shipping benefits. I might have set off a panic earlier, but a friend contacted me and saved me from myself. As long as you are ordering on your own account, nothing changes. In addition, you can add one adult and four children to an Amazon Family account, but they must live in your household.

Basically, it appears they are doing what lots of streaming services are doing…stopping the sharing. I totally get it.

Sorry if I scared you with an earlier post that has now been deleted.

On the other hand, if you know a young person between 18 and 24 who needs their own Amazon Prime account, they can sign up at a reduced rate…free for the first six months and just $7.49 per month thereafter. They also get 5% back on eligible purchases of beauty, electronics, apparel, and more.

Bright note: Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days will be here again October 7-8! I will be posting some deals as that approaches…

Thank you for your patience, and sorry about the earlier confusion.
