Brazil’s friendly defeat to Japan was branded as ‘unacceptable’ by captain Casemiro as his side build up to next year’s World Cup finals.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side were 2-0 up in Tokyo thanks to goals from Paulo Henrique and Gabriel Martinelli.
But the visitors fell apart after the break. Takumi Minamino, Keito Nakamura and Ayase Ueda finding the net to record a famous win.
Brazil have won the World Cup on five occasions but not since 2002, and Manchester United midfielder Casemiro says even in a friendly losing a lead in such a manner is a concern.
“It was a blackout from everyone in our side in the second half,” he said.
“This is the highest level, if you fall to sleep in an entire half it can cost you a World Cup, a Copa America, an Olympic medal.
“It’s just unacceptable and we must learn from it because the World Cup is just a few months ahead of us. We have to take care of the details because they can cost you everything.”
