Peacock is set to premiere a new science fiction spy thriller, The Copenhagen Test, starring Simu Liu and Melissa Barrera.
The streaming series, created by Thomas Brandon, has just released its first trailer, giving viewers a glimpse of the intense action and suspense that the show promises. The series will debut on December 27, and will consist of eight episodes.
The story follows an intelligence agent named Alexander Hale, played by Simu Liu, who discovers that his brain has been hacked. He must prove his loyalty while navigating a world filled with danger and deception.
Melissa Barrera plays Michelle, an important ally in the unfolding drama. The main cast also includes Sinclair Daniel, Brian d’Arcy James, Mark O’Brien, and Kathleen Chalfant, while Sara Amini, Saul Rubinek, and Hannah Cruz appear in recurring roles.

Thomas Brandon serves as the creator, writer, and executive producer, working alongside co-showrunner Jennifer Yale.
The series is also executive produced by James Wan, Michael Clear, and Rob Hackett from Atomic Monster, with Simu Liu serving as an executive producer as well. Jet Wilkinson directed the first two episodes, with Mark Winemaker also listed as an executive producer.
Filming for The Copenhagen Test took place in Toronto, beginning on October 21, 2024, and wrapping on March 11. The recently released trailer shows high-stakes espionage, technological twists, and thrilling moments that set the tone for the upcoming series.
The new series promises to blend action, suspense, and science fiction, offering a fresh take on the spy thriller genre. Fans of Simu Liu and Melissa Barrera can expect a story filled with danger, twists, and intrigue when it premieres later this year.
