First Trailer for Netflix’s ‘A Merry Little Ex-Mas’ Released Starring Alicia Silverstone

Netflix is set to release a new holiday romantic comedy called A Merry Little Ex-Mas on November 12.

The movie is directed by Steve Carr and written by Holly Hester. It features an ensemble cast including Alicia Silverstone, Oliver Hudson, Jameela Jamil, Pierson Fodé, and Melissa Joan Hart.

The story follows a divorcing couple who plan to spend one last Christmas together with their children. Just as the holiday celebrations are about to start, the husband’s new girlfriend shows up, creating chaos for the family.

Production for the film took place in Toronto, starting on February 3, and continued into March. The movie is produced by Hartbreak Films, with Paula Hart and Melissa Joan Hart serving as producers.

Netflix first announced the film as part of its 2025 lineup in January. In August, the streaming service confirmed the release date as November 12. The first trailer has already been released, giving viewers a glimpse of the comedy and holiday drama the film promises.
