Leaked Rumors Reveal Details About ‘Pokémon’ Gen 10 Including Early Title

New leaks about the next generation of Pokémon games suggest that Pokémon Gen 10 may be titled Pokémon Wind and Pokémon Waves.

According to sources circulating online, these games are planned as Nintendo Switch 2 exclusives, following the previous Pokémon “Teraleak.”

The new titles are reportedly set in Southeast Asia, with Indonesia being the original inspiration. Shigeru Ohmori, director of the games, provided documents back in 2021 that point to this location, contradicting earlier rumors that the setting would be Greece. The games’ theme is said to be “Infinity,” reflecting a focus on endless exploration and evolution.

One of the new battle mechanics is called Tenko-Waza, which could be translated to Weather Moves.

Players will also encounter a unique Seed Pokémon, a baby species found in resort areas. The leaked information suggests that this Pokémon has never been seen in its evolved form, which will have infinite variations once it reaches the main legendary’s island.

The protagonist is a 13-year-old city kid living in Kuala Lumpur. Their mother wins a lottery and takes them on a vacation, where they meet a local child who becomes both a rival and friend. This friend is knowledgeable about Pokémon and nature. The mother is 33 years old, works from home, and is taking a long vacation to relax.

A major figure in the story is the 75-year-old chairman of a hotel group that owns many resorts nationwide. Originally, he wanted to create resorts where humans and Pokémon could coexist with nature, but after a personal tragedy involving Pokémon, he became obsessed with aggressive development.

His 15-year-old heir, who may be his second or adopted son, respects him but is naive about the world. An evil organization known as the Land Development Team works for profit, destroying nature without any ideals.

The story also includes a Professor, age 21, known as the “Survival Professor,” who studies Pokémon that can become embodiments of weather. Despite his knowledge from books, his real survival skills are lacking.

Players are expected to begin their adventure in a big tourist city and start at a resort hotel that functions like an MMO lobby. Here, players can see other characters, interact, and take on quests. Jungle survival, exploration of underwater areas, and riding Pokémon will be key gameplay elements.

The games are said to carry a strong message about the relationship between people, Pokémon, and nature, exploring themes of parental responsibility and what kind of world can be passed on to the next generation.

Leaked details also revealed two legendary Pokémon: the Storm Package Pokémon, an elderly male who guides humans and Pokémon with the power of wind, and the Wave Package Pokémon, an elderly female who guides with the power of waves. Both only accept humans who have properly raised breed Pokémon.
