He’ll be joined by a live string section, as is the case at his current ‘Coles Corner’ orchestral dates in the UK and Ireland.

Tickets for the forthcoming Sheffield gig go on general sale at 10am BST this Friday (October 17) – you’ll be able to buy yours here. Alternatively, fans can sign up to access a pre-sale at the same time on Thursday (16).

Over the summer, Hawley released a special anniversary reissue of his acclaimed fourth album ‘Coles Corner’. He then showcased the record live at an open-air concert in London’s Regent’s Park last month.

Later this month, the artist will play shows at Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre (October 22) and Belfast’s Mandela Hall (23).

In June, Hawley performed his final two gigs at the beloved Sheffield venue The Leadmill – shortly before it was forced to close its doors. He had played at the establishment more than any other act.

Hawley had earlier spoken to NME about his “overwhelming sense of sadness” over the Leadmill’s closure, pleading for the government to change the law to stop the same thing from happening to other venues.

“It’s a rite of passage. The people running it now are best placed to do so,” he said at the time. “There desperately needs to be a change in legislation.”
