The track arrives as the lead single from Subtronics’ new album, FIBONACCI Pt. 2: Infinity.

Subtronics and Linney have joined forces for a new single, “Friends,” a festival-ready fire-starter. The track blazes with Subtronics’ signature headbanger energy before swiveling into an unexpected, pulse-driven house driven finale.

“Friends” opens with a ghostly refrain from Linney, whose voice arrives seemingly suspended in air as she asks, “Has anybody seen my friend?” The line lingers in the mix like a memory just out of reach, but by the midpoint of the track, the heavy-hitting arrangement gives way to a steady four-on-the-floor rhythm in a satisfying payoff that few could see coming.

Linney’s performance echoes the readiness she’s brought to several high-profile collaborations delivered this year so far by the EDM.com Class of 2025 artist, including “Act of God,” her massive collaboration with Layton Giordani and Sarah De Warren that’s become a mainstay in festival sets. For Subtronics, “Friends” serves as the lead single from his forthcoming album FIBONACCI Pt. 2: Infinity, set for release on December 5th.
