On Sunday, October 12, ABC host George Stephanopoulos engaged in a heated debate with JD Vance over Tom Homan allegedly taking a $50k bribe. The discussion ended with the former cutting the Vice President of the United States mid-interview. The act has garnered much attention, including acclaim from prominent radio host Barry Markson.

The interview on The Week concluded with Stephanopoulos asking Vance about reports claiming FBI officials have found footage of Homan accepting a $50,000 bribe from an FBI agent in lieu of helping the latter gain lucrative contracts linked with immigration enforcement.

“I'm asking you, did he accept the $50,000 that was caught on the surveillance tape? Did he accept that $50,000 or not?” ” Stephanopoulos pressed.

In response, the Vice President insinuated that he didn't "understand the question." He also asked if it was illegal to accept payment for "doing services." Thereafter, Vance seemingly attempted to divert the question and claim that Stephanopoulos's show was "losing credibility."'

"I have read about [Tom Homan's drama], but I don't even know the video that you're talking about. Meanwhile, low-income women can't get food because the Democrats and Chuck Schumer have shut down the government," he continued.

After a while, the host claimed that the actual question was not answered and went on to abruptly end the interview.

“It’s not a weird left-wing rabbit hole. I didn’t insinuate anything. I asked you whether Tom Homan accepted $50,000, as was heard on an audiotape recorded by the FBI in September 2024. And you did not answer the question. Thank you for your time this morning,” he said.

The same day, Barry Markson took to X and reshared the exchange between George Stephanopoulos and JD Vance. The radio host raved about the host's actions, writing:

"This is how it’s done. George Stephanopoulos asked VP Vance many questions and repeated the question, and pointed out he wasn’t answering it before moving on."

He continued:

Don’t let MAGA lie on hour air. Period. Ask again and then point out they are lying or won’t answer.

The tweet has since gone viral on the platform and has amassed over 52k interactions at the time of writing.

On October 10, JD Vance took to X to critique a recent art installation at England's Canterbury Cathedral. According to the BBC, it was created by curator Jacquiline Creswell and poet Alex Velli, and features questions such as, "Why did you create hate when love is by far more powerful?"

The Vice President reshared a post by @DrewPavlou about the new graffiti artwork, writing:

"It is weird to me that these people don't see the irony of honoring "marginalized communities" by making a beautiful historical building really ugly."

According to a BBC report, the Canterbury Cathedral artworks were made in partnership with an assortment of LGBTQIA+, Punjabi, brown diaspora, neurodivergent, and black communities. All were reportedly asked to answer the same question, i.e., "What would you ask God?"

The cathedral's Dean, David Monteith, reportedly waxed lyrical about the artworks, claiming that it "intentionally builds bridges between cultures, styles and genres."

"Above all, this graffiti makes me wonder why I am not always able to be as candid, not least in my prayers," he concluded.

He also claimed that it helps "younger people" better connect with them.
