The Senate has confirmed President Bola Tinubu’s nominee, Joash Amupitan, as the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Naija News reports that the upper chamber confirmed Amupitan after his screening on Thursday.

Amupitan, during his submission, vowed to ensure INEC’s independence.
