Artists like Diplo and Alison Wonderland are usually the ones being judged by fans around the world for their live sets and music releases. But over the weekend, the tables were turned as the two electronic music superstars served as celebrity judges at Tenderfest, Los Angeles’ annual all-you-can-eat chicken tender festival.

Held on Sunday, October 12th at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills, Tenderfest bills itself as “the world’s largest chicken tender festival,” offering a deep-fried blend of unlimited tendies, live music and questionable self-restraint.

Now in its fourth year, the event’s signature “National ConTender Competition” saw top chefs battle for poultry supremacy, including two-time champion Tim Hollingsworth, Bun B of Trill Tenders fame, and culinary icons Marcus Samuelsson and Alex Guarnaschelli. Hollingsworth ultimately reclaimed his crown, earning his third win in four years and securing his status as the undisputed sultan of sauce.

Diplo and Alison Wonderland took their judging duties seriously, scoring each tender one bite at a time before raising their numbered cards. In an Instagram post, the latter confessed the gig held special meaning: after 12 years without eating chicken, pregnancy cravings brought her back to the breaded side.
