Rapper Skrilla has revealed that his breakout viral hit ‘Doot Doot (6 7)’ will feature on the soundtrack to Grand Theft Auto 6.

The original Grand Theft Auto featured a groundbreaking in-game radio station that let players control the game’s soundtrack and each installment that followed has featured a celebrated collection of rock, rap, hip-hop and pop anthems.

Rockstar Games has yet to announce any of the artists who will feature on next year’s Grand Theft Auto 6 soundtrack but viral rapper Skrilla has claimed that his breakout hit ‘Doot Doot (6 7)’ will be included.

Speaking on Matt and Shane’s Secret Podcast (via Dexerto) Skrilla said: “I’m waiting for GTA 6 to come out. ‘6 7’ is on there, too. I’m going to be my own person on there, playing my own music.”

‘Doot Doot (6 7)’ was released back in March as part of the deluxe edition of Skrilla’s 2024 album Zombie Love Kensington Paradise. It blew up on TikTok over the summer and helped popularise the 6 7 meme.

The original teaser trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 was soundtracked by Tom Petty’s ‘Love Is A Long Road’ while trailer two featured Wang Chung’s ‘Everybody Have Fun Tonight’, ‘Child Support’ by Zenglen & 5 Etwal and Talkin’ To Myself Again’ by Tammy Wynette as well as The Pointer Sisters’ iconic ‘Hot Together’.

A number of high-profile musicians have also been linked to Grand Theft Auto 6. ScHoolboy Q has already confirmed his music will be used for the soundtrack, T-Pain has hinted that he was involved in the creation of the long-awaited sequel and Megan Thee Stallion has shared a Grand Theft Auto-inspired photoshoot, with many fans convinced the ‘HISS’ rapper will make an appearance in the new game

More recently, Travis Scott fans are convinced the rapper will also appear in Grand Theft Auto 6 after the music video for Jackboys 2 track ‘2000 Excursion’ featured a car with the license plate “GTA6 VI6.”

Last week, a fan-led mapping project revealed that the world of Grand Theft Auto 6 will be significantly bigger than GTA 5.

In other news, gaming fans have taken to social media to pay tribute to legendary musician D’Angelo and his “iconic” contribution to the Red Dead Redemption 2 soundtrack.
