‘Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man’ Season 2 Sets Release Window With Venom and Gwen Stacy Joining the Story

Marvel Animation has officially confirmed that the second season of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man will hit Disney+ in fall 2026.

The announcement came during the Marvel Animation panel at New York Comic Con, where fans were treated to an exclusive first look at what’s next for Peter Parker.

The trailer, which premiered for attendees, teased several major additions to the show’s universe. Venom, one of Spider-Man’s most iconic foes, will make his animated debut in the series, alongside the introduction of Gwen Stacy.

It also confirmed that Charlie Cox will reprise his role as Daredevil, marking another crossover between Marvel’s live-action and animated projects.

Other returning characters include Norman and Harry Osborn, Doctor Octopus, Chameleon, and Scorpion. The footage also gave fans a peek at Nico Minoru discovering more about her magical powers, which are expected to play a key role in the new season.

Hudson Thames voices Peter Parker in the series, which takes place in a separate universe from the MCU’s Tom Holland version. Instead of being mentored by Tony Stark, this Peter’s story is tied to Norman Osborn, voiced by Colman Domingo. Osborn, who runs Oscorp, offers Peter and his friends internships—but his real intentions remain unclear.

Unlike previous Spider-Man stories, this show introduces new supporting characters such as influencer Harry Osborn (Zeno Robinson) and witchcraft-wielding Nico Minoru (Grace Song). The voice cast also includes Eugene Byrd as Tombstone, Hugh Dancy as Otto Octavius, Kari Wahlgren as Aunt May, Aleks Le as Amadeus Cho, and Jonathan Medina as Scorpion.

Season 1 ended with several dramatic twists. Doctor Strange helped Spider-Man fight the Venom symbiote, which came from another dimension. Norman secretly kept a piece of the alien substance for his own research. And in a shocking reveal, Peter learned that his father, Richard Parker—believed to be dead—was actually alive and imprisoned.

The mix of familiar faces, new allies, and powerful enemies sets up an exciting second season that promises even more action and mystery for fans of the web-slinger.
