In commemoration of the 2025 International Day of the Girl Child, Excel Nation Foundation for Community Awareness on Mental Health carried out a transformative outreach program across several secondary schools. The initiative focused on Menstrual Hygiene Management and Building Confidence in Young Girls, empowering the next generation of women with knowledge, courage, and self-esteem.
The outreach aimed to address the silence, myths, and misconceptions surrounding menstruation — a natural process that, for many young girls, becomes a source of shame, anxiety, and poor self-image. Through this initiative, Excel Nation Foundation sought to break that stigma and create open, healthy conversations that foster dignity, confidence, and self-awareness among adolescent girls.
During the visit, our facilitators educated students on proper menstrual hygiene and personal cleanliness, guiding them on how to manage their periods with confidence and without fear or embarrassment. They also highlighted the link between mental health, self-confidence, and overall well-being, while emphasizing the importance of young women supporting one another as they navigate the challenges of a changing world in 2025.
We also demonstrated practical hygiene tips and distributed sanitary materials to promote healthy menstrual habits. Many of the girls expressed excitement and relief at finally receiving honest, judgment-free education about their bodies.
The program was filled with interactive discussions, real-life stories, and confidence-boosting moments that left a lasting impression. Teachers and school administrators commended the Foundation for taking such a bold and compassionate step in shaping the mindsets of young girls, especially those in underserved communities.
At Excel Nation Foundation, we believe that empowering the girl child is not just a social responsibility but a crucial step toward a mentally healthy and confident society. This outreach is part of our ongoing commitment to raising awareness on issues that affect mental health and self-worth in communities, especially among young people.
We are proud of the success of this year’s program and remain committed to reaching more schools, more girls, and more communities in the months ahead.
Together, we are building a generation of informed, confident, and mentally strong young women. One outreach at a time.
Excel Nation Foundation for Community Awareness on Mental Health. Building minds. Shaping lives. Inspiring confidence.
