Some pay tribute with candles and flowers. Others do it with… half a ton of pumpkin and honestly, it's pretty fucking cool.. In what might be the most seasonally appropriate salute to the late, great Ozzy Osbourne, a lawn and garden center in Batesville, Indiana, is honoring the Prince of Darkness with a massive 500-pound pumpkin carved in his likeness — fangs, shades, and all.

According to Fox59, The gourd-geous tribute was gifted to 5 Oaks Lawn and Garden Center by a regular customer, who scored the show-stopping squash at Ohio's Operation Pumpkin Fall Festival. The artist behind the Ozzy-inspired carving remains unnamed, but their work has become a roadside sensation in the sleepy Midwestern town.

Ozzy Osbourne passed away on July 22 at the age of 76. Known for his love of all things twisted and theatrical, it's fitting that fans are using Halloween season to celebrate his legacy in true macabre style.

“We think it is very neat and would like as many people as possible to enjoy this talented artist's work,” said 5 Oaks co-owner Matt Nobbe. The team has taken steps to preserve the pumpkin, including a mystery spray to delay rot. With any luck, Ozzy will stare down passersby for another couple of weeks.

For fans in the area, the pumpkin is on display now at 5 Oaks Lawn and Garden Center, located off State Road 129. It's a must-see for anyone who likes their Halloween décor served with a side of heavy metal.

Speaking of Ozzy pumpkins, more Ozzy pumpkins! The BBC is also reporting Osbourne family made a surprise appearance at Sunnyfields Farm in Totton, Hampshire this weekend, where a jaw-dropping mural of the late rock icon — made entirely from more than 10,000 pumpkins and squashes — has been on display since early October.

Sharon, Jack and Kelly Osbourne — joined by Kelly's fiancée Sid Wilson (of Slipknot fame) and their young son Sidney — turned up on Saturday evening to see the seasonal tribute for themselves. Farm owners Tom and Ian Nelson welcomed the family and even took Sharon and Jack up in a cherry picker to get a bird's-eye view of the sprawling artwork.

The mural — constructed using pumpkins, squashes and other vegetables from the cucurbit family — took a 16-person team four and a half hours to assemble. Sunnyfields Farm previously made headlines in 2023 for building the world's largest mosaic made from cucurbits, and the Ozzy tribute may be their most iconic yet.

The Osbourne clan posed for photos against a glowing backdrop of pumpkins and string lights, adding a bittersweet but celebratory moment to what's become one of the UK's most unique seasonal tributes to a music legend.

The mural will remain on display until the end of the month — so if you're anywhere near Hampshire, now's the time to see the heavy metal harvest before it's gone.
