Since 1995, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show brings a message of empowering women all over the world. And this year couldn’t be different. After a five-year hiatus, VSFS returned last year but failed to meet the expectations of fans who were hoping for voluminous hair and lots of shine. But have they outdone themselves this year? Let’s see the highlights of the most anticipated night of the year!

Lights, Camera, Angels!

Live on October 15th, the show brought together the most stunning models of all time: the Angels. But all the excitement and preparation for the show started long before that.

One announcement stopped fans in their tracks: the cast had grown, reaffirming diversity in times of regression. Victoria’s Secret announced last week the group of six models who would take on the role of Angels in the show. The list features veteran names like Brazilian Adriana Lima and American Lily Aldridge, but also new faces of representation: plus-size model Yumi Nu, Black models Anok Yai and Joan Smalls, and trans model Alex Consani.

Opting for the continuity of diversity in one of the most desirable and visible stages of fashion is, therefore, a gesture that goes beyond the aesthetic dimension and is projected as a strategic and political choice.

The stork brought glamour!

Jasmine Tookes opened the show while being nine months pregnant with her second child! The model debuted on the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show runway in 2012 at the age of 21. Three years later, she became an official Angel for the brand, a constant presence at the show ever since.

This year, when she opened the show, she became the first to open the runway pregnant and the second Black woman to open a show for the brand, the first being Naomi Campbell in 1996. A statement about beauty, motherhood and breaking patterns.

Modelling is also a sport!

Professional basketball player Angel Reese became the first WNBA player to walk for Victoria’s Secret. She was selected to the WNBA All-Star Game in 2024 and 2025 and set an impressive record by recording 172 offensive rebounds in a single season. The Chicago Sky star made history by becoming the first to walk the runway.

In addition to Angel Reese, the show also featured gymnast Sunisa Lee, a two-time Olympic champion in the 2020 and 2024 editions.

The presence of these athletes highlights a new phase of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which has been expanding its representation and celebrating achievements beyond the world of fashion.

Angels don’t come from heaven, they come from Brazil!

We already know that the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show doesn’t happen without Brazilian women, after all, they’ve dominated the show since the third edition. And this year was no different! In addition to the classics Alessandra Ambrósio and Adriana Lima, we had the debut of model Daiane Sodré and the participation of influencer Gabi Moura for Pink VS. The Brazilian legacy remains intact!

Performances that stole the show

The musical performances were one of the highlights of the show! Madison Beer opened the night with an engaging set that included hits like “Bittersweet” and “Make You Mine”, wowing the audience with her presence and angelic elegance.

Next, South Korean group TWICE brought K-pop to the runway with a vibrant performance and special guest appearances.

Karol G, being the first Colombian singer to perform at the VSFS kept the energy high by singing tracks from her album “Tropicoqueta”, such as “Ivonny Bonita” and “Latina Foreva”, dressed in red lace and scarlet wings that symbolized empowerment and passion.

To close, Missy Elliott dominated the stage with a medley of classics like “Get Ur Freak On” and “Work It”, sending the audience into a frenetic finale.

Bella Hadid returns

Surprising the audience, model Bella Hadid made her first professional appearance after a long period of hospitalization, undergoing treatment for Lyme disease. Gigi Hadids sister walked the runway during Karol G’s performance, wearing striking red lingerie and drawing reactions from the audience. It’s good to have her back!

The Grand Finale!

Candice Swanepoel proved once again why she’s one of the biggest icons on the runway. With elegance, confidence, and a striking look, she opened the final act of the show alongside Anok Yai, a new generation model, also wowed with a sparkling look and was highly praised by internet users.

The closing of VSFS 2025 was undoubtedly unforgettable. In the final segment, Gigi Hadid walked the runway with sparkling white wings, followed by the beloved angel, Barbara Palvin. Alessandra Ambrósio and Adriana Lima once again walked the runway wearing large, sparkling wings. The moment sparked a meeting, laughter, and interaction between the two on the runway.

Model Bella Hidid closed the 2025 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show with a flourish, wearing a silver look and large white wings.

“Oh, when you walk by every night, talking sweet and looking fine, I get kinda hectic inside”. And we all got hectic inside! Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was THE event and we are already looking forward to next year!
