Rockstar Games has stayed tight-lipped about the soundtrack for Grand Theft Auto VI, leaving fans guessing which artists might appear in the game.
Meanwhile, Philadelphia rapper Jermaine Edwards, also known as Skrilla, is claiming a spot on the GTA 6 soundtrack.
The 26-year-old says his viral hit Doot Doot will appear in the game. Doot Doot gained major attention this year thanks to TikTok’s “6-7 meme” and also became popular on Instagram Reels.
Although it was released as a single in February and has around 44 million streams on Spotify, Skrilla’s track is now one of the songs people are associating with the upcoming GTA release.
Skrilla shared the news during an episode of Matt and Shane’s Secret Podcast. He also suggested that he might be represented in the game, either as himself or through a character inspired by him. “I was recreated in the game,” he claimed, though it’s unclear what exactly that means.
It’s worth noting that musicians have sometimes confused GTA Online with GTA 6, so there’s a chance this could be another mix-up. Rockstar Games has not confirmed any of these claims, and they likely won’t comment until the game launches. For now, fans should take the news with a grain of salt.
It’s exciting to see new artists potentially making it into the GTA series. A viral track like Doot Doot could bring a fresh, modern energy to the game’s music. What do you think about Skrilla possibly being part of GTA 6? Share your thoughts in the comments.
